A volunteer role in a program committee is fun. 

You will also get a chance to share and build your knowledge. 

Areas where you really can make a difference are all the knowledge areas within Supply Chain, Sustainability, Master Data governance, Analytics and focused areas in IT.

Areas where you can influence the leadership team and herby influence the agenda are HR, Finance as well as Asset and Energy.

The time you need to spend is minimum a 30 minutes meeting.

If you want to engage a little more you can become a member in a program committee. They have four 60-90 minutes meetings annually (or more if the team decides this). Meeting length depends on the team. Some teams regularly meet at least 90 minutes others do just quick summary meetings.
