Agile / DevOps oriented delivery models – learn how gCTS can support your ABAP development processes

November 25th, 09:00-11:00

The git-enabled Change and Transport System (gCTS) allows using Git-repositories to store and manage your ABAP coding and customizing. You can decide to push your development to Git repositories and to pull it from there into other ABAP systems. With this, you can also use some mechanisms known from the git world for ABAP. gCTS together with the implementation of the BAdI for releasing transport requests offer the option to adopt your ABAP development processes in a way that they get closer to what you might be used to when working in other development languages in a DevOps minded way.
In this session, we will first introduce theory and practice of gCTS and then experience how developing with gCTS using the BAdI implementation and pipelines could work.
