AI and Agents require high quality data.

How to implement data products to make “Golden Data” available for all purposes, and how to utilize this service to make the data even better
“Golden” means the “master” or the “true source” as defined by the data architecture. The golden data (the golden records and the golden attributes) always comes from the source systems. A golden record or golden attribute can be of poor quality, and one of the main purposes of data governance, is to make sure that the golden records and golden attributes are of high enough quality all the time. This to eliminate the need for big and ad-hoc data cleansing activities for these data. All data is entered and stored for a primary purpose and use, and this use take place in the core business processes supported by the core business systems. Data quality is improved in the source system. Automation is very much dependent on high data quality.
Through data products, we can utilize our exposed data for any read-only purpose– whether this use is for new apps, reports, dashboards, analytics and data science, or within data quality control services. Through the data quality control services, we can detect all data quality issues (including duplicates), and we can continuously report on the quality levels as well as generating error-reports which are used to correct the golden data.

SAP’s vision and roadmap for SAP Master Data Governance
A presentation on plans and roadmap for SAP Master Data Governance (SAP MDG) which is and will be the product to support SAP’s vision of bringing together applications, data, and AI.
SAP MDG helps to ensure every action taken within SAP applications and integrations use trusted and consistent master data.
The most business-critical data and the foundation for advanced 360-degree or AI-driven insights is the harmonized semantical layer of data in SAP Business Data Cloud. SAP MDG supports the curation of data used by SAP Business Data Cloud and as such delivers trusted high-quality master data to truly enable the value creation through SAP Business AI.
In addition, SAP MDG itself leverages AI for automation of master data management.
