A good year is coming to an end

At the beginning of 2022, we didn't know what was going to happen. We were all getting tired of webinars but would we all actually dare to meet in person again? In 2023 we will have other challenges 😊

2022 had a happy ending

It ended well, we could meet in person. Little by little, the worry about the Covid disease has become less. Life has partially returned to how we lived before the pandemic. The big difference is the acceptance of remote meetings and that today there is a requirement to be able to meet remotely. Sometimes remote meetings are even the first choice.

The challenges we have in 2023 are several.

First and foremost is that Bernt becomes a pensioner. We are losing an important person with long experience who leaves a big void. We've known that for a while and have a plan. Didrik Arstad has accepted to take the leadership of the HR group and I am planning with leadership groups for other topics. We wish Bernt a really wonderful time ahead. He has many plans and will, among other things, travel.

Technically, we see that the new remote meeting rooms that members and partners have are more and more used for our SBN meetings. If we use the functionality built into the rooms we lose the control that we had when we were in control of the end-to-end process ourselves. We have seen these rooms interfear with our current setup, which means we have to change. If all works as planned the result will most likely be good. The important thing is, it means we have to change our process, collaborate more and relearn, which is always difficult.

Next year we are looking at doing things differently. Sigurd Skyum works for us but is also full-time as a project manager in a large project.

We see changed internal processes in 2023. But change can be good. Even though 2022 started so doubtfully, it turned out to be a good year. I look forward to collecting the information and to compile the annual report for 2022.
