SBN IT Events in June

This year we have two IT events for our members to look forward to in the second half of June before the summer vacation. As we know, activity levels for events in Norway drop off in June especially in the second half... ☀️

First, we will be holding a half day workshop on June 16^th together with experts from SAP, on the new low-code automation platform SAP Intelligent RPA 2.0. You will not only get insights into SAP's strategy, latest developments and roadmap in this area, which is covered in the first hour of the session but you will have the opportunity to take the product for a “Test Drive” with a two hour hands on workshop. We held a two day, hands on workshop on the Business Technology Platform earlier this year and this proved to be particularly popular with members who like to have a go at some hands on coding. To participate in these hands on sessions you don’t need to be a professional SAP developer. There were some professionals at our last session but in addition, we had quite a number of enthusiastic, non-professional programmers who received help from SAP and the experienced attendees to complete the hands on exercises. The second IT event in June is a webinar on one of SAP’s hottest topics so far in 2021, Rise with SAP. This time you will be hearing about Rise with SAP from an independent consultant in the SAP space, Derek Prior together with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Derek is a well known, independent, SAP researcher and analyst who has had a long career with Gartner and AMR before starting his own company, Resulting IT. His co-presenter is Jason Bath from AWS who spent many years working for SAP where he held senior management roles in Cloud Services including HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC). These gentlemen have a reputation for straight talking so it will be an exciting session where you can hear what really is included in Rise and what is of value to the customer. They will continue this theme by also considering the move to S/4 HANA and the Cloud where they will share their knowledge and recommendations.
