Finance & Analytics

If the move to S/4HANA as a phase 1 is a technical migration and an IT-project, you run the risk of entering into to "THE PERFECT STORM OF INERTIA" in phase 2 and you will miss out on the opportunity for real transformation and to reap the benefits of new functionality and possibilities from the new platform. Finance needs to get involved to learn about what is possible or not in S/4HANA and this year our priority will be on customer cases from different stages of the journey to S/4Hana and what our members are trying to achieve and how they go about to do so. These are a few teasers:

1. Statkraft recently moved to S/4HANA and Espen Øvergaard,  (VP, Head of GBS Finance) at Statkraft AS,  will share his thoughts and take aways so far, what have been the implications of the move, what are their plans, drivers and priorities for the roadmap ahead and how Statkraft and the Finance team propose to get the most out of their move. He will be joined by Helse Midt Norge (Hemit) and Daniel Boer Johannessen,Fagansvarlig Logistikk, Driftssenteret for Logistikk og Økonomi at Central Norway Regional Health Authority,who will share Hemit's journey so far, their challenges, pain points and priorities going forward.
2. In the following paneldiscussion (The Journey to SAP S/4HANA and beyond) we hope to deep dive into some of the topics touched upon in the presentations as well as other issues and general questions of great interest to the community in regard to S4. We will also encourage questions and statements from the audience.
3. We will hear from Wintershalldea Azim Fiaz, Senior SAP Key user, Wintershall DEA Norge will share their story of their move to S/4HANA and what they have achieved and which challenges they have encountered during their journey so far.
4. SAP Advanced Financial Closing is part of the BTP stack and is one of the services in the cloud which has a potential to ease the burden of the R2R process and improve it. Moritz Back, SAP Customer Advisor Finance & Analytics will also showcase some of the Intelligent Technologies to help to automate specific closing tasks with SAP GR/IR Reconciliation Machine Learning as well as the SAP Accruals Management Machine Learning.
5. Mads Cift, SAP Senior Manager at Accenture, in his presentation titled "SAP Analytics and Enterprise Reporting - impact and considerations when transitioning to SAP S/4HANA"will give you food for thought regarding how SAP S/4HANA and potentially SAC support your operational and strategic reporting and analytics needs and how you can deliver business value through your data with SAP S/4HANA.
6. Norgesgruppen will showcase their use of SAC and SAP BW to support their collaboration with their suppliers in the supply chain to share data and insights to support decision making and visibility. Both the business side and technical aspects of the solution as well as a deep dive into SAC will be part of the presentation. 
7. AkerBP's  Bernt Olsen, Manager – SAP Finance and Helge Torsøy, Digital Finance Professional will present Aker BP’s Finance Roadmap for SAP/Fiori including highlights from 2020 – 2022 and their strategy on SAP standard vs self-developed apps with examples within the area of Forecasting, GR/IR and Master data.
8. Janette Kruunari, Senior Manager, Sustainability & Technology, Transformations, Project Management at Accenture will help you understand how SAP and Accenture have joined forces in sustainability enablement to help you gather sustainability information  across the whole value chain. Since EU Taxonomy is lurking behind the corner, it may suit your interest to learn more of the possibilities in SAP S/4HANA and extensions.
9. In his presentation "Improving the End-to-End Close Process together with BlackLine and SAP, Otto Haarlaa, solution expert and former BlackLine and SAP user, shares lessons learned from companies that have transitioned to modern accounting, among them Sanoma, an innovative and agile Finnish learning and media company, Nike and Anheuser-Busch InBev,  World's largest brewer. You will pick up learning points in regard to how you can improve your Record-2-Report Process.
10. You will also learn about Carbon management visibility, for travel and transports based on SAP Concur and Choose.

Customers and partners will talk about talent management and their experiences from SuccessFactors implementations and SAP Concur.

• Sariba will share experience from implementation of SF Employee Central Payroll for Norway at Lyse AS..
• From the project at Vår Energi, we will hear about actions taken on change management (before, during and after project) to ensure a successful SF implementation
• Qualtrics with SAP - Jan Marsli from Sariba will we share their experience
• Sondre Grahl-Jakobsen from Zalaris will talk about reporting in SuccessFactors - Stories and People Analytics
