SBN SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) Day 2026
SBN Special Interest Group (SIG) for SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC)
Virtual event
The Special Interest Group (SIG) for SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) was established in 2019 to cater to the growing interest in SAC from our community on a journey from ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
With the continuous development of bringing analytics, data management and AI into a modern, cloud-based architecture that fully leverages the rich business data inside SAP ERP, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Business Data Cloud (BDC), and Datasphere have become strategically important for companies running SAP ERP, either in combination or separately.
More and more over the years, the content and agenda of our events have involved not only contributions and use cases on SAC, but also on deployment of and leveraging BDC as well as Datasphere, because they solve several long-standing challenges around data, analytics, and decision-making. In combination they allow companies to move from data-rich but insight-poor to data-driven and AI-ready.
This is the backdrop for the Special Interest Group of SAC extended, which we now will call Special Interest Group for BDC and whose purpose is to acquire and share knowledge in implementing, in the use of and leveraging SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Business Data Cloud and SAP Datasphere either in combination or separately for customers of SAP.
The Group is open for everyone with an interest in SAC, BDC or Datasphere, no condition that you are a user of the above mentioned systems in your own organization.
Purpose of the group is to get even closer to what our community is doing, thinking and considering in the area of Analytics and especially SAC, BDC and Datasphere.
Further we would like to create a network of practitioners of users, subject matter experts and business experts of SAC ++ and we are doing so by naming a primus motor from the practitioners to guide the group.
The "SBN SAP Business Data Cloud Day" is the main event for this group and networking is an important part of the interest group. In addition the members of the group are a main source for the program committee to put together the content for the SBN Analytics Day as well.
The SIG for SAC will in addition to SAC as a product with all of its functionality and possibilities also focus on SAP Strategy and Roadmaps for BDC. And since planning and budgeting is such an important part of any business, SAC Planning will be part of the content for this group, not the least because SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud for planning will be more closely integrated to expand the business data fabric to planning use cases.
The group will also cover how Embedded Analytics and Self Service Reporting can change the way we consume data from a business perspective. We will talk about Augmented Analytics and how SAP Business Data Cloud may affect the area of reporting and analytics in the future and also about SAC in relation to BW, BW/4Hana and on top of SAP S/4HANA. Many are also concerned about how to organize and succeed with the implementation of SAC in their companies.
