SBN Asset Management Day
May 25th, 08:30-15:30
Asset Maintenance and Facility Operations has become part of connected supply chains and includes “intelligence” and with automated processes. As example Mobile Asset Management improves technician productivity by providing all information required to install, inspect and maintain assets on mobile. Project can be run connected, in cooperation with people in other companies.
Join this day to hear about new solutions and to share experience with those who have begun to implement new smart processes based on SAP tools or other tools.

AkerBP experience sharing and case study at ASPM
- AkerBP presents status after the transition to a common maintenance system in January 2020. The presentation will focus on what has been challenging, improvements made after implementation and success stories.
- In part 2 of the presentation, the focus is shifted forward and there will be a case study on impact classification of equipment, and requirements for this from NORSOK Z-008. To solve this, AkerBP have looked at the cloud solutions in SAP Intelligent Asset Management, and the product ASPM (Asset Strategy and Performance management). The presentation will tell the story from customer needs, via piloting and product selection to ongoing implementation and imminent go-live.

Application of simulation based digital twin technology to real-time monitoring of complex engineering structures
- EPD for connected products provides a cost-efficient way to generate digital twins by reuse of engineering models, IoT enabled with a feed of operational data. Commonly, OEMs own and control the design- and engineering models for their products; models that provide the perfect digital representation of the physical assets. They can therefore leverage these models for setting up new revenue streams. There are multiple possibilities here: offer an owner/operator a digital twin together with the physical product, and give possibility to subscribe to unique insights into the condition and performance of the asset. The OEM may also tap into the operational data flow from the asset, better understand potential challenges or failures, and loop this back into the product development. Connected products’ digital twin will also facilitate an X-as-a-Service business model, serving as the basis for extended warranty services, predictive maintenance service offerings, spare parts logistics services and more.
- How the insights may be utilized in the IAM space is here illustrated with examples for real-time monitoring solution for Nordlaks floating fish farm and Stavå bridge.

How Swiss Federal Railways Implemented Failure-Mode Centristic Maintenance Management on SAP IAM
- Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) is not only a national mobility provider, but also a railway infrastructure and rolling stock operator managing a variety of different asset types. During the last years, the capacity demand for mobility intensively increased, and the requirement to keep the critical assets or systems in reliable operation became even more important. To better understand and manage causes and effects in operation, SBB has chosen the reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) approach and partnered with SAP in a co-innovation to improve RCM capabilities in SAP Intelligent Asset Management suite. The failure-mode is a fundamental element in RCM. When it comes to condition-based or predictive maintenance, the failure mode is the ground root to successfully implement use cases that have a valuable impact within the business processes. First use cases show that it is important to educate the employees in RCM, but also having a scalable and future-ready software solution available.
- Key learnings:
- Failure mode as a key in maintenance management
- Continuous improvement in maintenance management
- Operationalize condition-based and predictive-maintenance use cases

How Hydro is using SAP Analytics (SAP Analytics Cloud, Analysis for Office and Fiori) to support the maintenance processes
- In this session we are going to share experiences with implementing real-time reporting for SAP Plant Maintenance for Hydro’s plants in Norway. The reports, which have been developed with SAP Analytics Cloud, Analysis for Office and Fiori, are running directly on S/4 with CDS Views and on a BW4HANA. Business has developed own dashboards with SAP Analytics Clouds.
