Lessons learned and assessments for Finance from Norgesgruppen and their journey to SAP S/4HANA

Through its Dovre project, Norgesgruppen seeks to establish its new digital core based on SAP S/4HANA in the Cloud. This project will, among other things, support new and more efficient processes within Finance, management and maintenance of master data and order processing. The digital core will be the foundation for Norgesgruppen's digital platform with the aim of making data available in real time for the entire value chain. The first part of the project, which includes Finance, went live in the fall of 2024. We get thoughts, assessments and lessons learned from this project for Finance through the eyes of people who have been close to the process and solutions.

Migration Cockpit - wake up call for Finance

Lots of resources have historically been used to create custom programs for migration of data. Migration of financial data (open items, master data etc) often involves people from the finance function. Migration Cockpit has been around for some time, but somehow a lot of users find the documentation massive and that it is hard to get started. Migration is relevant not only for new implementations, but also during a lifetime of a business for example M&As, organization changes etc. This is a mini session helping you to understand how easy and simple it is to use Migration Cockpit in Fiori with just basic SAP skillsets – without any need for technical resources. Migration Cockpit: SAP Standard tool, no licences involved and easy to use.
