According to SAP and their vision for Finance, bringing together and streamlining entity and group close is one of the pillars of helping companies become more agile. 
Advanced Financial Closing (AFC) is their tool to perfect planning, automate and monitor the financial closing process. 

Equinor, a former user of the onprem Financial Closing Cockpit decided to move their solution to the Cloud in connection with their NextGen project. 
Currently more than 8,000 tasks are being planned and monitored in the new solution but the journey is still ongoing along with the move to S4 for all the entities in Equinor.

Erfaring i design av Finance Ledger struktur i S/4 prosjekt for å være forberedt på aktivering og migrering til Universal Parallel Accounting (UPA) som er løsning for parallel accounting allerede fra versjon 2022 for greenfield (og med støtte for migrering fra versjon 2023) for enkelte land. Tror dette er interessant for flere kunder i Norge. 

Fokus for presentasjonen:

• Det er viktig å ta de riktige designbeslutningene allerede når man oppgraderer til S/4 for å gjøre migreringen til UPA enklere. Spesielt for de løsningene hvor man benytter parallel valuation (Legal, Group, Proft center valuation – transfer prices) slik de større internasjonale gruppene gjerne gjør.
• Metodikk i prepare phasen for bedre forberedelse til explore phasen som ikke fremgår av standard Activate metodikk, men som anbefales for å bygge forståelse og starte transformasjonen.
