Statkraft is running an initiative to improve both the process and the data quality when it comes to handling incoming invoices. Although Statkraft has well-established statistical models to assign GL accounts and VAT codes, there is still room for improvements in this process. By leveraging AI we have built an AI agent that checks all the invoices that the current statistical models fail to determine a GL account and/or VAT code for. The solution uses the line item information and checks against our chart of accounts texts and works on multiple languages. The plan is to scale on the solution and use it for a number of related scenarios such as checking and correcting the material category on free text POs and to pick up ESG relevant information from invoice line items.
