Vattenfall’s S/4HANA journey – NextGen ERP - and the modernisation of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
NextGen ERP is Vattenfall’s response to an aging, highly customised ERP landscape that no longer supports the company’s strategic directions. The new S/4HANA installation, built on a clean‑core approach, enables more standardised and harmonised processes across the organisation. At the same time, today’s Business Unit specific asset management setup is being modernised into a more consistent and future‑proof foundation — while still respecting differing business needs.
Transforming Asset Maintenance Through Connected Maintenance Collaboration
Transforming Asset Maintenance Through Connected Maintenance Collaboration
In asset-heavy industries where uptime, safety, and cost control are critical, effective collaboration between asset operators and service providers is essential. This session highlights how SAP Business Network Asset Collaboration enables seamless shared work orders, connecting partners across the asset lifecycle to improve maintenance execution and service reliability.
Trusted by major Oil & Gas and Utilities companies, SAP Business Network Asset Collaboration supports real-time, cross-company collaboration that reduces unplanned downtime, accelerates response times, and aligns maintenance activities with operational and safety requirements. Discover how a transparent collaboration platform helps eliminate bottlenecks, improve asset availability, and build a foundation for smarter, data-driven maintenance.

Connecting Maintenance Strategy with Execution using SAP APM
Audun Grimstad will present how to translate maintenance strategies into actionable work and feeding execution insights back to improve strategy remains a persistent challenge. Lighthouse demonstrates how to close this loop by connecting strategies and recommendations in SAP APM directly to maintenance plans, operations, and task lists in SAP PM. Through hands-on examples, we show how we have bridged the gap between strategy and execution.
Audun has racked up 30+ years of operational and management experience from the maritime-, O&G, consulting- and IT sectors, Audun applies his experience from asset-intensive industries to put the Intelligent Asset Management solution in the context of the business owner and the core processes.
